Friends and Family of Dr. Emil Porcelli
The Dr. Emil Porcelli Memorial Scholarship was established to support a student entering the medical profession. Medicine, human understanding, caring, and compassion were gifts he gave, not only to his family but also to the community. He was a gentle man who practiced the art of medicine with devotion.and compassion.He was proud to be a part of Hudson Valley for forty years.
Impact
Before Dr. Porcelli died, he was told that a scholarship was going to be established for him. It was Janet Atwater, with whom he had worked closely and happily for most of those forty years, who initiated this tribute. It pleased him to know this, as he believed in medicine not only to cure, but also to give hope to those who are suffering. Upon his death it was a family decision to request that further donations be made to aid in the establishment of this scholarship.
