Robert H. Davis Scholarship

Awarded to a student matriculated in HVCC’s Radiologic Technology program who has achieved a GPA of 3.7 or better after their first semester.

This scholarship is created to honor Robert H. Davis, who pioneered the development of HVCC’s Radiologic Technology curriculum. From the time of the program’s pilot in 1967 until his retirement, Bob brought his keep mind and own love of learning into the classroom and local hospitals alike, while also developing advanced imaging offerings for NYS Health & Education Departments, and the Council on Allied Health Education and Administration for the American Medical Association. Bob’s work at the forefront of the community college movement into health education shaped Radiologic Technology education as he was sought to aid in the development of many other community college programs throughout the state while growing the program at HVCC.

At 80 years young (in 2022) Bob continues to voyage into new challenges including creating Prof Dovis his own YouTube station connecting new listeners with music he has
curated and loves.
