The Kindred Spirit Scholarship
This scholarship was created by Laura Swarthout, who started her own woman-owned construction services business. Laura’s “Kindred Spirit” seeks another student who enjoys construction, power tools and being creative.
Students must be enrolled in one of these programs: Construction Technology-Building Construction (AAS), Electrical Engineering Technology – Electronics (AAS), Heating/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technical Services (AOS) and identify with these qualities:
·Be resourceful: Re-use & Recreate.
·Be Creative-When you have left-over, good quality materials-you can make something amazing.
·Be Dedicated to yourself and others.
·Be responsible for your actions.
·Honor your word- Say what you mean, mean what you say.
Students must be taking at least 3 credits in order to be eligible for this scholarship.
