Faidi Research Scholarship- Honors College

This scholarship was created to support a Hudson Valley Community College Honors College student who, having begun a summer research internship project at any other institution would like to continue their research into the school year, but would be doing so otherwise unpaid. $1,000 will be applied for the first semester of continued work, and should the research project extend into the next semester, another $1,000 will be applied. The Honors College Director must provide a recommendation letter on behalf of the student(s) under consideration, and the students’ advisor must provide written verification of the summer research and that continued work on the project is approved.

Eligible students must be in good standing in the Honors program. Student
must be engaged in an ongoing research project that would not otherwise be funded. A letter of recommendation by the Honors College Director must be provided. A letter from the advisor verifying that the students’ research project is approved for continuation must be provided. If the project extends beyond one semester, a second verification letter will be required for a second semester of funding.
